I was awarded “Activist of the Month” by the League of Education Voters on the 8th of Nov, 2013.  This is a great honor and opportunity to continue this work.  It truly is a good time to be working in school discipline.  There is a national ground swell of work, research, and schools changing.

To complement this award, I am starting the Restorative Justice Center of the Northwest.  This has been something I have wanted to do, and others have encouraged me to pursue.  There will be another announce meant when thing are finalized for the Center.  I hope this work reflects RJ work across fields and truly provides opportunities to engage the NW (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho).
